For investors
The video editor that learns from what creators actually published.
SwitchLog turns hours of raw footage into a finished long-form video and its shorts, on the creator's own Mac. It is tuned second by second against the edits creators really published, and it costs us nothing to run once it is installed.

The problem: editing is the bottleneck
Creators and streamers record for hours and publish weekly. Cutting a stream into a video, then into shorts, with captions and sound, takes an editor most of a day per video. Creators either pay an editor, edit themselves late at night, or publish less.
The product: raw footage in, finished videos out
Drop in a whole stream or a day of shooting, pick a genre, press once.
- Finds the separate videos inside a long recording (a round, a talk topic, a meal) and cuts each in order.
- Offers the shorts every video can give, each opening on a thought and ending on a finished line.
- Adds captions that spell the channel's names right, sound effects and music, and a thumbnail pick.
- Everything runs on Apple silicon: no upload, no queue, no per-minute meter. Free until the export.
Why now: the laptop became the render farm
Apple silicon now runs vision, speech and language models on a laptop at useful speed. That changes the economics: cloud clip tools pay for every minute a user uploads, so they meter it. SwitchLog's marginal cost per processed hour is zero, so it can sell unlimited use at a flat price, and footage never leaves the machine, which is what agencies and broadcasters require before they let a tool near unreleased material.
The moat: profiles fitted to real edits
Every raw recording paired with the video a creator published from it is a labelled example: second by second, what was kept, trimmed or dropped. SwitchLog's fitting pipeline builds a selection profile per genre from such pairs and scores it only on pairs it has not seen. Enterprise channels add their own pairs, and each refit is measured before it ships. The pairs compound, and a tool that only reads transcripts never sees them.
- Signals from the picture, the sound (laughs, screams, silence) and the words, not the transcript alone.
- A measurement method published on the site; numbers are published only once held out.
- Organisation profiles: a channel's house style, applied on every editor's Mac.
What one press produced
Real runs on our own footage, measured on 2026-09-25. Lengths and counts only: agreement with a creator's edit is measured separately and published once held out.
Where it sits
Creators today choose between metered cloud clip tools and manual editors. SwitchLog does the edit like the first and keeps the footage local like the second, at a flat price.
| Category | Examples | Price (US, published) | What the creator still does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloud AI clip tools | Opus Clip, Descript | $15–35 a month, metered by minutes uploaded | Upload, pick from a bag of clips, build the long video |
| All-round editors with AI features | CapCut Pro | $19.99 a month | The edit itself |
| Manual desktop editors | Filmora, PowerDirector | $50–60 a year | The edit itself |
| Caption-first editors (Korea) | Vrew | ₩9,900–17,900 a month | The cut, the shorts, the sound |
